Nate Winterland
As a FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE member, Nate helps us with raffles, sponsorships and all things fundraising. This is such a big part of the season, and Blacktooth experience, because it helps make it possible to do what we do. Nate brings years of experience running high-end raffles and a sense of organization to all the moving parts. He has freely given his time and resources in the past to see the success of raffles, tournaments and our season as a whole all the way through and we are excited to have him officially part of our team.
Get to know Nate
“My wife Shauna and I have two daughters, Maci and Kady, who keep us on our toes. We love watching our girls, not only play the sport that they love so much, but also develop great attributes off the court. I own and operate Winterland Taxidermy. I spent many of the last 12 years on the Wyoming Association of Taxidermy Artists board as a Director and Vice President. I’m thankful to be part of the Blacktooth Board and help promote such a great organization.”
What is something you enjoy about the club experience at Blacktooth?
“Blacktooth is truly a big family. It’s great to see people come together and promote a great experience for the kids, as well as the parents.”
What you are looking forward to most for the upcoming season and serving on the BVC board?
“It’s always exciting to start the new season. I’m looking forward to watching these young athletes grow on and off the court. As a board member, I’m looking forward to working with a group of great individuals on planning and implementing new ideas and opportunities for the club.”
Why is Blacktooth’s philosophy of "person first, athlete second" important to you?
“This philosophy sums up life in general. It all starts with being the best person you can be. Everything else is secondary.”
Other Tidbits
“I love spending time with family and friends outdoors and of course being a volleyball dad!”
