Get to know Brittany

“I’m a born and raised Wyoming girl, living most my life in Sheridan. My husband and I have been together 19 years and we have two amazing daughters. Our oldest Haylie, is 16 and plays volleyball year round. Our youngest Kinley, is 8 and hopes to play volleyball like her sister someday. I’ve worked at WestMed for 19 years as a Certified Professional Coder, doing medical coding and billing. I played volleyball when I was younger and love that my daughters share the same passion for the sport as I do!”

What is something you enjoy about the club experience at Blacktooth?

“I love how Blacktooth feels like family. Coaches care about players and players care about each other. Families support each other and everyone comes together to create a welcoming and positive atmosphere.”

What you are looking forward to most for the upcoming season and serving on the BVC board?

“I’m can’t wait to watch all the kids play! I love seeing their growth throughout the season. I love traveling with my daughter and her team and look forward to all the tournaments! I’m excited to help grow the club in any way possible.”

Why is Blacktooth’s philosophy of "person first, athlete second" important to you?

“It’s important for a child’s wellbeing to learn self-worth and not be defined by being an athlete or by athletic achievements. Success is more than winning games, it’s about integrity, individual growth, and enjoying the experience. Growing confidence, taking care of their mental health and building character as a person first, are skills they can apply the rest of their lives.”

Other Tidbits

“I love being outdoors. My family loves to camp on the mountains or spend a day paddle boarding at the lake. We travel a lot through the year, mostly on volleyball excursions!”
